This afternoon at our church we had an awesome birthday party for Jesus, and then we took all the kids caroling at the local retirement community. Harrison and Carly were all over it. They handed all the residents bookmarks they made, and said "Merry Christmas" without skipping a beat. All was going smoothly until Harrison encountered an elderly lady WITH NO TEETH. I noticed he was doing some serious staring, and he came over to me and in his most worried voice asked, "mommy, can 4 year olds lose ALL their teeth?" Poor guy. He had never seen a grown up with no teeth. He brought it up again tonight at bed time. One plus is that it is a great incentive with the oral hygiene.
