Giddy

I have been looking for new lamps for my living room for uhhhh, about 4 years. And, today I found them! whoohooooo. Not only did I find them, they were $30 for the base and shade. Does it get any better than that?!? I have probably brought home 10 samples that just weren't right. I help out hope that I could find exactly what I was looking for. Home Goods to the rescue! I think I heard the angels singing down the aisle. Thank you to my mom who has took this mission so seriously and always "kept her eyes open." I am sitting on the couch as I type this just giddy with satisfaction. Weird, I know.

Gotta Brag

This may be nauseating, but I just have to give Joe props for being such a thoughtful husband. When I got home from the mountains today, he had re-done my flower box for me. While we were in Maryland, the temps here were in the upper 90's and all my outdoor plants were toast. I thought to myself, I have got to get all my plants back in shape next week. I did not even mention it to him, and when I asked him how he knew he replied, "I know that flowers make you happy and I wanted to see you smile." LOVE HIM! In regards to the love languages, I am definitely an "acts of service." It was just such a thoughtful gesture and I wish I could have seen him at the nursery with Lillian picking up flowers. When Lillian was a newborn, I used to call her my "little Petunia," so these were perfect. I am a lucky girl...

Little Sponges

• Harrison asked me the other night when I was putting him to bed, "mommy, did God make me out of arts and crafts?"

• We had a big gathering outside with all our neighbors and their big kids. The kids rode bikes, swam, jumped on the trampoline, ate smores, caught lightning bugs, etc. I asked Harrison before bed what his favorite part of the night was, and he said, "all the dangerous weapons!"

• Harrison's new phrase is "I'd rather not." I poured him milk the other night and he said, "ya know mommy, I would rather not have milk tonight." He is actually listening to all the manners I preach! whohooo
  

• We were driving yesterday and Harrison asked if he could get a guitar. I explained that Hugh had given him a guitar and that he had broken it on purpose so he could not get another one right now, Harrison asks out of nowhere, "when I broke Hugh's guitar, did daddy say "damn it Harrison!"?

RAAM Party

We hosted an after party Saturday night at my aunt and uncles. They have a beautiful house on the water. It was entertaining to hear all the "war" stories and to enjoy some delicious BBQ

We went a little wild with the Cricut machine. This was for the 15 minute penalty the team got for running a red light

All of our family was there to cheer Joe on. Funny to think that we were all here 8 years ago for our wedding. We have so many wonderful memories with our families in Annapolis. Did I mention my crab cakes were to die for!?!
