I feel like I just wrote this post, has it really been a year since our last Michigan summer extravaganza?!? Joe and I have been together over twelve years now, and Michigan really owns a place in my heart. I look forward to seeing our welcoming family, to staying up way too late chatting with my mother in law, to sleeping with the windows open at night, and to all the fun we have watching our kids play with their cousins.
Both sets of Joe's parents jumped at the opportunity to watch our kids while we went on a trip to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. We knew the kids would be in good hands and would hardly even notice we were gone, so we drove up to Michigan for 10 days. We flew out of Detroit to Antigua, and then back to Detroit for a few days. I love that we are almost always there for Joe's birthday and that his mom makes him a cake and we are all together.
Both the Fogles and Parke's have majorly kid friendly set ups; tractors, old trucks, lots of land, toys, pools, equipment, etc.
Thank you all so much for keeping the kids! They are still talking about the "Fowdervile fair." Thank you for all the love, support and fun family memories that fill our hearts and sustain us when we are far away and missing family. xoxo, KP
