Joe and the kids all loaded up in the Defender. This was our family vehicle of choice for the weekend. Lills was especially fond of riding around town with the ocean air whizzing through her blonde locks.

After our trip, I would dare say HLP could be a professional golf cart driver. He drove me around and by the third day he could do the petal and the steering wheel.

What a wonderful way to spend Easter as a family
Joe's Aunt Lyn called last minute and invited us to join them in Hilton Head at Steve's house for a little fun in the sun. It was just what the Dr. ordered.
We headed down Thursday and stayed until Monday. It was one of the absolute best mini vacations I have ever had. Everyone got along so well. We ate fantastic food, went to delicious restaurants, cooked a ton, drank Cristal, drove Steve's fancy cars, sunbathed, slept in, watched movies, walked, and just really enjoyed each other's company. I have to boast for a quick moment, to say that my kids were SO well behaved. It made this momma proud. They kept everyone laughing and just went with the flow. It was one of those vacations that makes you so sad when it is over. Joe and I moped for several days after getting back to Raleigh. Thank you Lyn and Steve so much for being such awesome hosts and for giving us a much needed dose of family fun. We can't wait to go back!
